Thermal comfort during transportation

Are you cold? We bet you do! Remember that the same applies to your pets.

The sicker and the smaller the animal is, the more difficult it is for it to maintain a proper body temperature. On the way to the clinic or during any other journey in low temperatures, it is necessary to ensure its thermal comfort.

Small and short-haired dogs should be dressed in a sweater or wrapped in a blanket and brought to the clinic in theirs owner’s arms. Smaller animals should always travel in carriers – line its the interior with a blanket, attach a hot water bottle filled with warm (not hot!) water to the bottom or side wall, and cover the outside of the carrier with a blanket, leaving small gaps for air circulation.
